Become a Referee

Interested in becoming a hockey referee? There are six steps to becoming a hockey official:

  1. Register with USA Hockey
  2. Complete SafeSport Training (if 18 years or older)
  3. Complete a Background Screen (if 18 years or older)
  4. Complete Online Education Modules
  5. Pass the Online Exam
  6. Attend an Annual Classroom Seminar
